She/Her/Hers

Therapist & AAMFT Approved Supervisor

I love our practice and clients. Each day is different and unique. People tell me all the time, “I couldn’t do what you do”. That comment always surprises me because I wouldn’t want to do anything else. I get to see people do the hard work of change. Clients often come in at their lowest place in their life and after therapy, feel more hopeful and able to make the changes in their lives that they have only thought about for so long. I feel honored to be part of that process.

I have such diversity in my practice. On a given day, I could work with individuals, relationships, families, siblings, children, parents, roommates, or co-workers. Due to the flexibility of telehealth, I love having the options to work with clients all over Michigan. Working to understand and create an approach for each individual client is a creative challenge. I admire and respect my clients for the courage they have when they take the step to reach out and make the first call. I am encouraged when clients challenge themselves and trust me to challenge them to make changes in a safe space.

I have a heart for encouraging change in people who are struggling. I am a pure Marriage and Family Therapist – both my master’s degree and my Ph.D are in Marriage and Family Therapy, which is unique in Michigan. I am a Clinical Fellow and an Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and have been working with couples and families for over 27 years.

As an Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, I supervise Limited Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who are working on becoming fully licensed. I am energized by their passion for helping clients grow.

I have experience working with relationships in distress and extensive work with anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, and trauma issues. Some examples include domestic violence, sexual assault, and different types of abuse, including long term childhood developmental trauma. I am certified in a specific type of therapy called EMDR.

I continue to pursue this field because of what it represents: Healthy relationships, healthy families, healthy couples, healthy individuals – less pain, more growth.
