I love what I do because I get to sit with clients through some of life’s worst storms. It's an honor and gift to be able to see individuals, couples, and families wrestle to be vulnerable, struggle through grief, sit in their resilience, find their strength, and find empowerment again. My greatest joy in my work is creating a safe environment that allows others to overcome feeling stuck and align with their truest self. When we can align with our truest self and wholeheartedly show up I believe it creates deeper and stronger relationships for everyone involved.

I decided to pursue a Marriage and Family Therapy masters in Kentucky after many years of my own individual therapy journey and finding a deeper understanding of myself through understanding how I was engaging with families and systems around me. It’s a continuous drive for me to understand how individuals, couples, and families relationally connect with each other and can grow to be healthy together.

I love working with adolescents and seeing how they develop in their understanding of how they relationally connect to others. I respect teen’s honesty, their perspectives, and their willingness to be doing the tough work that is therapy. I also incorporate using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. This tool is a gift I’m so grateful to have because I’ve seen so many survivors regain their empowerment and confidence through this process allowing them to find deeper relationships again.

For fun, I enjoy horseback riding, walking in the sunshine, and snuggling with cute animals... from dogs and cats to horses and cows!
